The days of planning met fruition on this our first day of packing lunches for health workers serving in New York City.  Many hands make light work, and with fifty-two volunteers we packed 1014 lunches within two hours.  The amazing energy and interest in this project has been humbling.  From the donations flowing in, to food distributors providing top quality products at amazing prices, to the volunteers giving of their time with a desire to encourage and cheer our health workers.  It is at times like these that the true heart is revealed, and it is evident there are many with hearts full of love.

Our desire in the project is to be a light and encouragement to those who are serving so hard, and to do so in a responsible way that honors the recommendations of our government leaders and the health care professionals.  I want to thank the volunteers today as they took these recommendations seriously and cheerfully accepted the precautionary requirements.  The first day of packing went very well and the energy has been building with all volunteer packing slots for this week filled and next week filling up.

We are limiting our production of lunch boxes this week to 3500 as we wait for additional donations.  The team in New York City has made numerous, meaningful contacts and predicts that they would be able to distribute over 10,000 lunches per week.  Please consider donating/sponsoring these lunches for our health care workers. There are many volunteers who are willing to be your hands and feet to prepare and deliver these lunch boxes as you enable through funding.

Check out pictures from our first day of packing lunches.  We thank God for opening many doors and making this day possible.
